First off, we must acknowledge the sad passing of Martyn Bennett, who died aged 34 on 30 January after a long struggle with cancer. A pioneer in the Scottish music scene, the piper and fiddler was at the vanguard of blending traditional methods with contemporary sounds and ideas and will be sorely missed.
T in the Park has confirmed a fairly rock-heavy bill for this year's Balado shindig. Foo Fighters and Green Day take the headline slots with Ian Brown. the Killers. the Coral and Audioslave among the other highlights. Tickets are on sale now so get y0urselt to wvwvtintheparkcom sharpish.
