How long: I've owned this shop for 34 years.
Background: Went to Glasgow School of Art and I worked for a framer in the GSA building for about a year after that.
What you enjoy about the job: I‘ve always liked working with my hands and I get to see a lot of paintings - I once framed a Magritte.
Most complicated job: A shaped triptych. but we also do gilding work with gold leaf which is very delicate.
Worst moment: Trapped here during a flood two years ago. Area: It‘s changed quite a lot with all the restaurants and bars opening up. When I started. the Ubiquitous Chip was just opening on this side of the road before moving to where it is now.
What would you do on a day off: Just wander about the town. Sometimes I go to the Barras - I'm into antique tools and I also like cycling.
