A riotous evening, with the emphasis on pure unashamed fun — it might not be cool, but a good time is guaranteed if you leave your inhibitions at the door and enjoy a bit of a tipple.

Kris Keegan and AJ rock the main room with house and garage, Ian Thompson whacks out the the best in underground garage and dance classics in Betty’s, while members in the Skybar (Glasgow’s answer to the Met Bar, or so they claim in the press release) are treated to Paul Traynor’s smooth R&B mix. In addition, the Archaos cast of performers bring a touch of the circus to Clubland with fire-eaters, stilt- walkers and dare devil trapeze artistry.

Yang? Isn't that a place for well dressed fans of quality house? Indeed it is, but Tuesday nights are set to thrill to the sounds of Northern and funk as duffle-coated hordes of nervy indie kids flock to catch a glimpse of their heroes behind the decks and their friends on stage.
You mean Alex Chilton has taken to the 12105 . . . Not quite, but Gerry Love (pictured above) of perrenial popsters Teenage Fanclub will be delving into his extensive record collection, as will Chris ‘Beans’ Geddes, the keyboard player from local whimsy specialists Belle &
, Sebastian.
! Why has Yang changed tack? Please try to keep up. Tuesdays are officially the new Thursdays, in the sense that clubs across Glasgow are punting cheap lager and student-friendly tunes at the beginning of the week, rather than the run up to the weekend and Yang spotted a gap in the market. Everywhere else has an anthemic house meets ’Crasher trance night or, and it is hard to tell which is worse, a celebration of all things kitsch. This leaves students who like their music without a side order of irony high and dry.
Are Geddes & Love enough to draw a crowd? Frankly, yes, but the night is also set to feature live music from undiscovered local talent. First up are Vanity Witch-hunt.
Never heard of them. Well that’s the point. For the record, the group are known for putting on a bit of a show and deal, apparently, in dramatic pseudo-gothery, with a nod towards the likes of Placebo.
My mate plays guitar . . . How charming. Any bands who fancy showcasing their talents to some of Glasgow’s more discerning punters should hand a demo tape in at the club and cross their fingers.
