Tributes, tributes, tributes - if these people didn’t die, the musical makers would be forced to kill them off. To be fair, this is one of the better ones, and if you’re a fan of the film then this singalong with Jake and Elwood makes for a good night out.

Barrie gets its first stage adaptation in the hands of the Scottish Actors Initiative. Cut off from the outside world by a snowdrift, the occupants of a secluded glen begin to unravel the mystery of the visiting strangers, including the entrancing Julie Logan.

One of Lloyd Webber’s earlier musical offerings, and the show that brought Sarah Brightman to the nation’s attention, but you can’t hold that against it. The odd spectacular effect keeps the attention gripped and the presence of songs such as Music Of The Night and the eponymous Phantom Of The Opera ensure this opera house romp continues to pull in the crowds.

Focusing on the struggle for power in a divided Scotland, Shakespeare’s “Scottish’ play has taken on a whole new resonance.
