Annie Griffin — Blackbeard the Pirate Tues 27 - Thurs 29 Oct. 7.30pm. Annie Griffin. who appears over the next few days at the Traverse Theatre in the show that she presented at this year‘s Edinburgh Festival. gives three performances of the show that she presented at last year‘s Edinburgh Festival and that was widely acclaimed. A woman. she presents the story of Blackbear. the notorious eighteenth century murderer and rapist. Seduction/Saturation Wed 28 & Thurs 29 Oct. All Day. Free. An installation workshop exploring the cult of the hero and how we are overloaded with modern totems and images that seduce us. You are invited to bring your own images of heroes that can be put into shrines. making the installation a shrine. Karen Strang will give a performance focussing on the unrequitable love affair between a woman and the object ofher desire on television.
