ENERGY SPENDING

The second annual Tron Dance Week begins this Thursday (27 Nov). Following last year‘s success, the Week has been expanded to ten days and coincides with Scotland’s Dance ForAtrica events.

All the participating companies are well known to Scottish audiences. Greg Nash, a regularvisitor, presents a new work, Momentum Bush, which indcludes tilm of 100 dancers shot on tour locations in the UK. Mantis return with a trilogy of dance for their winter season. The title piece, Scenes From the Lite of Beethoven is artistic director Micha Bergese's latest work.

Rotating Dancers, a duo heavily involved in Glasgow‘s community, have been working with local musicians Alan Tall, Derek Houghton and Jim Sutherland on Elements Basic. The community itseltwill be underthe bannerJunction 19, a group of amateur dancers who gave a lively and humorous performance last year.

Two newcomers to the Dance Week are The Kosh, bringing their dramatic Telling Tales, seen at this year's Edinburgh Festival and Scottish Dance Theatre with Phase Two, premiered at Maylest '86. See listings tor details. (Alice Bain)
