VISUAL ART SUPPORTED BY
FLICKERING LIGHTS Summerhall plays host to video works by three important contemporary artists in a new group exhibition, which includes a series of ‘filmic landscapes’ from Scottish family Maris and work by Glasgow-based David Bellingham who uses film to manipulate images of rules, clocks, and other items that count quantities. Meanwhile, the composite videos of Rachel Maclean (pictured) feature a garish, hyper-glowing mix of pop culture, television hype and Scottish identity that explores age, gender and notions of other-worldliness. ■ Summerhall, Edinburgh, Fri 8 Mar–Sat 18 May.
