BigPicture ANONYMOUS ART SCULPTOR RETURNS The List has made no secret of its love for the beautiful anonymous pieces of book art that have been left around the city over the past 12 months by an anonymous artist. So we’re extremely excited to hear that a year since the mystery began, more beautiful paper sculptures have been found at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. A number of delicate paper flowers were dropped around the site, along with a note and a quote from Oscar Wilde: ‘. . . freedom, books, flowers and the moon,’ and on the reverse ‘A Gift For You’ and a limited edition number of /50. The latest findings come as a national tour sets off around Scotland celebrating the works, before returning to Edinburgh for Book Week in November. Lovely stuff. The tour will coincide with the publication of a gift book about sculptures, published by Birlinn. See scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk for more.
