the context of Rachel Maclean is a Glasgow- based artist and graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art, working largely in digital composite video, image and using installation in and sculpture. Exploring the aesthetic of Poundland, Youtube, Manga and Hieronymus Bosch she hyper-glowing, artifi cially saturated visions that are both nauseatingly positive and cheerfully grotesque, and is the only actor or model in her work. rachelmaclean.com
