TheRealist So much culture, so little time. We boil it down to ten of the best events
1
Glasgow Comedy Festival COMEDY Homegrown comedy heroes Jerry Sadowitz, Daniel Sloss and devilish magicians Barry & Stuart (pictured, in a typically macabre pose) are joined by visitors from further afield including Richard Herring, Stewart Lee, Greg Proops, Sarah Millican and Doug Stanhope (see Realist pick 7) at this year’s west coast comedy fest. See also The Question, page 2, Stanhope’s views on politics on page 12, and the Comedy section (starting with an extended Hitlist on page 59) for full listings and more previews. Various venues, Glasgow, Thu 15 Mar–Sun 1 Apr.
2 4 THE LIST 1–29 Mar 2012
Behaviour THEATRE The Arches’ festival of boundary-pushing theatre returns, featuring Ed Fringe hit White Rabbit, Red Rabbit from Iranian writer Nassim Soleimanpour, Stef Smith’s The Silence of Bees and Gary Gardiner’s Thatcher’s Children – a physical theatre piece exploring the legacy of the Iron Lady.
