5 JAN-2 FEB YOU’VE GOT 29 DAYS TO LIVE! We’ve printed an interview with Frankie Boyle this issue that some might find controversial. We’ve given him a platform, yes, but we’re also giving you, the reader, a choice. For the thousands who find him funny or even enlightening, read it. For those who don’t appreciate dark, boundary-crossing humour, don’t read it, or take his close to the bone comments in the context of his thoughts on taboos and censorship. Shock and outrage are Boyle’s stock-in-trade and the interview contains jokes designed to prove points on those themes. If that’s not your bag, then you needn’t engage with the article. Do so though and you might find some food for thought.
For a lighter touch, we’ve an interview with Noel Fielding on page 12 – the second era-defining comic to appear in this issue – whose new series features an anthropomorphised chocolate finger. Naturally.

Our preview starts on page 16, and there’s an extensive interview with Frankie on page 26 – be warned though, it’s not for the faint-hearted.
