Lee May Foster-Wilson / Bonbi Forest VisualArt

Lee May Foster-Wilson studied Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton and now lives and works by the sea in deepest darkest rural Cornwall. Under the alias Bonbi Forest she transforms her drawings and paintings into print designs for clothing and accessories and creates a range of jewellery inspired by the colours and textures in her work. Working with a fantastical colour palette and painterly and graphic marks alike, Lee May takes inspiration from nature and the contradictions of the natural world and human emotions. Her work explores anthropomorphism, storytelling, recurring rhythms and patterns, how the wild world shapes us, and how we shape it. In the past Lee May has worked on imagery for the bands Bat For Lashes, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and Urban Outfitters and her jewellery and clothing has been seen in publications such as the Guardian, Marie Claire, Grazia and the Independent. www.bonbiforest.com
