Merchant City Festival Bringing a four-day programme of music, theatre, food and acrobatics,
the city centre festival returns. Expect Spanish guitars and tapas, Bollywood tributes (from nutkhut dance duo, pictured), a celebration of tidal energy through dance and music (that last one wasn’t made up by the way; it’s called ‘The Tide Machine’) and the ‘Dance Jukebox’, where the audience gets to pick whether the dancers show off hip hop, salsa or line dancing moves. ■ Various venues, Thu 22–Sun 25 Jul.
