Kander and Ebb’s enduring celebration of divine decadence
(darling), based on the novel Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher
lsherwood, and set in Weimar Berlin in 1931, has rarely been off
the stage since its Broadway premier in the mid-605. In this
award-winning new touring production, Samantha Barks, a
finalist in the BBC talent search I’d Do Anything, stars as
nightclub singer Sally Bowles, the role made famous by Liza
Minnelli on both stage and screen, while the legendary Wayne
Sleep returns to the role of Emcee of the seedy Kit Kat Klub.
