Who’s he then? You may recognise Matt Berry from his role as aristo explorer type Dixon Bainbridge in The Mighty Boosh or for his parts in Garth Marenghi's Darkp/ace and the recent second series of The IT Crowd.

else . . . Then perhaps it was alongside fellow Boosher Rich Fulcher in the macabre jet-black sketch comedy Snuff Box. a show which seemed to have a particular obsession with the hangman's noose.
So, why’s he touring: to scare the poop from us? Among Berry‘s many talents are his musical abilities. He‘s released two albums. Jackpot and Opium. and scored shows such as Saxonda/e and B/under. These gigs will platform his aural expertise.
Happy happy. loy loy. then? Actually. this tour could be something of a party. with Berry having just nabbed himself a British Comedy Awards nomination for his role in The IT Crowd. Though I suspect his parties are very much unlike mine or yours. (Brian Donaldson)

For Milton Jones. it must seem like a very long time ago since he was hitting the Edinburgh Fringe heights with a Best Newcomer success in 1996 and a main Perrier Award nomination the following year. Having afterwards flitted in and out of performing live, preferring to do his surreal one-liner thing on the less confrontational medium of the wireless. some things have definitely changed, but the crazy hair and mad jumpers are a constant. ‘I wasn‘t really good at anything else.‘ recalls Jones of the reasons why he entered comedy in the first place. ‘Back then I just did it as myself but it‘s just not going to work for a slightly posh bloke being clever with words in Romford on a Monday night. Stick your hair up and put on a silly jumper. and you're suddenly less threatening.‘
With a Sony Award under his belt for Radio 4‘s The Very World of Milton Jones. he’s now on his first ever national tour. entitled Caught in a Rabbit's Headlights, in which he‘ll do a barrage of jokes interspersed with characters such as an eastern European football manager and a war veteran (based on his own grandfather). ‘l'm not a natural storyteller, I much prefer doing the lean one-liner. Though, after about 40 minutes of those, you need some kind of narrative, otherwise people just see it coming. In terms of being pigeonholed. people do tend to put me in the one-liner bracket which means that I never get to do gigs with Tim Vine or Harry Hill. Not that l invented deadpan or anything, that’s just the way it is.’
