Tick tock. Tick tock. Just when you thought he was out, they’ve dragged him back in. With Jack Bauer wandering off into the sunset at the end of 24’s last series, his identity stripped and his raison d’etre seemingly knackered, you wondered just how on earth the writers would continue without him. This would be giving little credit to the leaps of imagination that they have been perfecting from day one.
