Strface Noise Music news 3 Kings of Leon are just sooooo damn popular. As if selling out two nights at Glasgow's Academy isn‘t enough, they've also announced a show at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on 26 June to cope with demand. The Performing Rights Society Foundation would like to give you some. No really, no joke. It is offering grants of between £500 and £5000 to electronic music artists for a one-off performance of their work. The money can be used for anything from a live PA as part of a club night or as a small part of the funding towards a grander scale event. Applicants can be individual artists or collaborators but they do need to be working closely with a promoter or club that will help them deliver their chosen performance. Previous recipients of Live Connections Grants, including Plaid, Adam Freeland and London Elektricity, have been able to put on unusual performances, from electro- acoustic installations to full-on techno and breakbeat events.
