Gossip, chat and rumour from the gallery floor

I The rush is on for WASP studios to spend its £250,000 award from Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian at its Patriot Hall premisis in Edinburgh. The building, which was nearly lost last year to flat developers, was saved after a hard fought campaign resulted in a grant of £500,000 from the City of Edinburgh Council. The recent extra cash is a further boost to the space which holds studios for 50 artists. The money will be spent on creating 15 more studios and stopping the root from leaking.

I Beagles 8 Ramsay's infamous black puddings crmtrxl something of a stink at Bodyparts Livo Art festival at the RSA. Edinburgh. Once the tabloid press started holding illOlr nose at the idea ol artists' blood trying in the name ol art, the Councnl

got a whiff of it. And though happy to plug gaps in roots, they're not so happy to fuel some good old home cookin'. The grand try-up. then, was cancelled on spurious health and safety grounds. There’s no accounting for taste.
