Saxophone giant Joe Lovano’s latest visit to Scotland will bring a new twist to the tale when he takes the role of soloist in the world premiere of Mark-Anthony Turnage’s A Man Descending with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Turnage, one of Britain’s leading composers, has a long- standing interest in jazz, and has provided space for Lovano to improvise within the music. (Kenny Mathieson) RSAMD.
