Owns Proletariart - a political T- shirt shop
How long The shop's been open three weeks
Background I'm into politics. I have a degree in the subject and love a lot of the campaigning, iconic art work. I wanted to find strong political images that weren't the cliched Che that you can see everywhere now. It's taken about a year to pull together and find the right premises. This used to be a computer shop and before that Varsity Window Cleaning Co. How do you make the T- shirts? I design them getting technical help from a graphic designer and then they're printed in Bridgetown, Glasgow.
Best thing about the job So far. selling my first T-shirt within a couple of hours of opening. Worst moment An anarchist looking guy who came in and started to berate me for selling socialist images for profit. I told him that Lenin drove a Rolls Royce.
The song that best sums up your shop ‘Reasons to be Cheerful'.
What would you do on a day off If it's sunny go to the park; it it’s raining. the pub.
