The music policy is hip hop and funk. and Liquid Sounds are to play monthly. But whatever their skills, with the likes of Mr Thing and Louis Parker already pencilled in, much of the attention is likely to fall on Jump's guest roster. Phi Life Cypher should start things off nicely. The Luton-based hip hop three piece are currently putting the finishing touches to their second album, while MC Life has just released Bush and Blair, a furious assault on the first world order. But it’s playing live that gives him the most joy. ‘Anyone can get in a studio but playing live — that's something else,‘ he says. ‘At the end of the day, I’m an MC but I'm also a single father raising
