ROADSHOW TOMORROW’S WORLD ROADSHOW SECC, Finnieston Quay, Wed 24—Sat 27 Jul
Glasgow life
Science is boring? Wrong. Science is fun, and the Tomorrow’s World Roadshow is determined to prove it. No more test tubes, beakers and Bunsen burners, this is all about technology, inventions and interaction. The event is for both grown ups and kids and presents a wide and varied look at the world of science. It will be made up of eight themed zones including Inventions, Live Lab Zone, Think Energy Zone, Tomorrow’s World Zone, Science Year, Engineering Zone, Science in Health Zone and the Sports Zone. Each zone will have exhibitions, demonstrations and a chance for you to test your knowledge in various interactive competitions. For the budding creator there is an Inventors Tunnel where you can see the latest ideas and meet the BBC Best Inventions Team who will give you advice on your latest world-changing invention. Glasgow Science Centre are also bringing some of their most challenging and interactive exhibits to the Science Year Zone as well as doing some scientific experiments, workshops and demonstrations. If all these zones, information, technology and inventions aren’t enough to sate your science appetite then you can also see the live broadcast of the Tomorrow’s World programme from the SECC on Wednesday 24 July. You will be able to witness the action, look behind the scenes and meet the
presenters. What more could a budding scientist ask for? (Jane Hamilton) I SECC 24—27 Jun. For more details and tickets phone 0800 3 78 985.
