Over 135,000 people owe their lives to the bravery of the crews of the RNLI. People who save lives at sea - 24 hours of the day - 365 days of the year. Having successfully serviced the needs of seafarers for over 177 years, we cannot be complacent and have been focused on change and continuous improvement across the Service, which now costs nearly £100M a year to run.
Working closely with the Chief Executive responsible for this change, you will be expected to learn thoroughly how we operate, using your well developed organisational skills to manage his office with confidence, maturity and efficiency. You'll also be expected to take early responsibility, acting as his eyes and ears around the Service, taking calls, fielding enquiries and making decisions on his behalf where appropriate. Further aspects will include attending Senior Management Team meetings and producing the minutes — for which excellent attention to detail and first class communication skills will be required.

Private Sector where you have been totally comfortable working within a structured environment and have developed the interpersonal skills to liaise with all levels of staff, internally and externally - including government bodies and visiting dignitaries. A sound understanding of office management systems would be an advantage.
