gouaches by Sigmar Polke go on display

for the first time in the UK. Emigrating to

West Germany in 1953. he became one of

the country‘s foremost painters. gaining

notoriety in the 60s and 70s for his humorous works similar in style to the

Pop Art being made in Britain and America.
