Edinburgh: Club Mercado

- The DJ? Superb. He's a resident at Blast, which has taken over from Viva. It’s like Viva there’s a great atmosphere, 450 people packed in that’s what it's like. Dance until you drop. Bewied up, you come in for a great night, you get people to dance with you, you get to meet a lot of people. I love it.

The music’s mostly commercial. Black Legend is my favourite song at the minute . . . Even the bar people are dancing, and people don't leave ’till four in the

morning.

The fashion at the moment is probably denim, but I’m in suede this evening.

With a cowgirl hat 'cos the hair’s a mess.

The students don't like paying so much for the alcohol here, so it’s more for people who are working. It’s a more mature crowd.

LISA FLEMING.

‘Stars In Your Eyes’ featuring many a face from the Edinburgh scene. Make-up artist Gary will be on hand to help transform competitors into their chosen stars, and DJ support comes in the form of dance anthems past and present.
