I Shogo at The Brunswick Cellars. 9pm-midnight. Free. Weekly. A brand new evening of breaks, beats and suchlike from G-Man and occasional guests, with skateboarding visual entertainments.

I Virunga at Brel. 9pm—midnight. Free. Weekly. A top selection of tunes with a world bias, including soca, Latin dance, African and reggae.

I 1210 at Babaza. Spin—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Top-notch house, garage and trance from Ian Thompson and David Gilmore, renowned for keeping the crowd on their toes and dropping the odd surprise track. In a bid to encourage new talent, the residents step down between 8—1 1pm, turning over the Technics to up- and-coming DJs. Call the club on 204 0101 for details of how to participate.
I Bennet’s at Bennet‘s. llpm—3am. £3 (£2). Weekly. Shawn delivers a commercial dance mix in the main room, while Annie supplies 70s and 80s hits at this gay club.

Weekly. Absolutely colossal student night with Vance and C.J. supplying hard partying house anthems in the main rooin and daft classics from Tam Coyle downstairs.
I Dazed & Confused at Qudos (Queen Margaret Student Union). 7.30pm—2am. £2 (£1)-— students and up to four guests. Weekly. Live music every week from aspiring local talent until around 10.30pm. when the residents take over, spinning a retro set encompassing funk, soundtracks and indie classics.
I Foundation at Q. 9pm--3am. Free before llpm, £5 after. Weekly. Iiwan Kelly with funky disco and soulful garage.
I Go Bang at Reds. 11pm-3am. £3. Weekly. GK Machine, Glenn C, Jay Hay and Guy spin a varied techno selection. I Hi Karate at The Glasgow School of Art. 10pm—2am. Free before 11pm; £1.50 (£1) after. W‘ekly. Andrew Divine and Neil McMillan are taking a breather from the guest frenzy of the last few months this fortnight, so you can expect the trademark chopped up breaks and heavy beats in ct ual measure.
I Jake W erry at (32. Midnight—3am. £4 (£2). 22 Jun only. The man behind the The Ilerbaliser returns to Glasgow fora DJ set taking in hip hop. jazz and soul. I Loose Jornts at The 13th Note Club. llpm—3am. £2. Weekly. Residents (eyebee) and (deecee) have shifted the old Booty Jam up a gear with a new concept night, just like a 7()s album. The concept being to play a broad mix of dancefioor classics without overdoing the turntable technique, concentrating on the songs themselves.

I Rhythm And Blues at Life. 1()pm—3am. £5. Weekly. One of the city ‘s finest R&B nights residents Paul 'I‘raynor and Naeem. This month sees another flurry of guests, including X-Jamz and the Blakkarhymez Crew on 2‘) Jun. 6 July is also a requests special, so anyone who has filled out a form should head down to see if their selections have made the cut. I Skycop at Skybar (Archaos). 11.45pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. The posh bit ofArchaos thrills to the deep house stylings of Ryan Kerr. as the regular student night packs them in downstairs. I Specia Favours at The Glasgow School of Art (Vic Bar). 1()pm—2am. £1.50. Weekly. An evening from the self- proclairned ‘goddesses of sound’ DJ Mingo-go and lJT Bosom, who promise to provide everything from 11an pop to cheesy beats via sleazy electro.

I Tune! at g2. llpm—3am. Free entry before 11pm; £3 (£2) after. Weekly. Simon Morrison and Andy Horn select brand new house and trance, plus Ibiza favourites to jog the memory.
I Tunnel Thursdays at The Tunnel. llpm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Tunnel regulars Kevin McFarlane and Scott Mackay. plus Lisa l.ittlewood in room two. spin house for a dressed-up crowd of students.
I Upfront at The Asylum. lllpm-3am. £1 (free to CUSU members). Weekly. liddie Tonner and Scott Mochar with quality house and trance.
I The Wha? at The 13th Note Club. llpm—3am. £5 (£4). 2‘) Jun. Monthly. Hip hop, jazz and funk from The What? collective, plus live stuff from house band Muddy Pedals and skateboard related visuals and exhibits, with celebrity guest types promised in the near future.
I Yang at Yang. 1 lpm—3am. Free before midnight; £3 (£2) after. Weekly. Fantastic night featuring live funk action from Elevation Trio in the bar and weekly residents Bob Peck and Charlie lnman slamming out their trademark block party hip hop, funk and breaks. Room three features the varied talents of Foresight, Goodfoot, Yogi llaughton and Dribbler in rotation.

I Rumble at The Garage. 11pm—3am. £4 (£2). Weekly. Absolutely crackers student night, stuffed to the gunnels every time with kids sharking to the sounds of chart hits, indie favourites and lowbrow house.
I Superstar at Trash. 11pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Party tunes, pop and indie faves for students and the like-minded. I Wired at Destiny. 1()pm—3am. £2 before 11pm: £3 after. Weekly. Casual night at the wrought-iron exhibition-cum- club, with a new name to match the dancier music policy. This is the only time when denim and trainers are acceptable apparel here, so you don't have to iron your Ben Sherman.

The unmissable events in Glasgow this fortnight
. i“. ‘ ‘3' Come Down The different - between this event and the rash of recent Sunday clubs is that, instead of concentrating on chatter and relaxation, the tunes are full-on Chicago house from the Slave residents and the bqu of the crowd haven’t stopped since Trade the night before. Slave, Sun 2 Jul.
Degree Show Party As you might imagine, combining a bunch of sleep- deprived art school kids, a street party, some of Glasgow’s finer disc jockeys and a sizeable chunk of cash devoted to making everything look pretty can mean only one thing: a splendid evening out. The music comes courtesy of the likes of Andrew Divine, The Freak Menoovers turntablist crew and a troupe of samba drummers. Glasgow College of Art, Fri 23 Jun.
Traxx The Traxx gang can always be relied upon to provide an excellent evening’s entertainment, but tonight promises to be something a bit special. Guest DJ Harvey has been knocking about the UK house scene from day one and, unlike certain of his contemporaries, has stuck fast to the underground lvalE cover CDs notwithstanding.) If previous appearances at Tangent and Optimo are anything to go by, Harvey fits the Subbie like a glove. Planet Peach, Fri 23 Jun.
Jake Wherry One of the founding members of Ninja Tune's hip hop orchestra The Herbaliser, Wherry (pictured) appears in the live line-up as the bassist. To..ight's event is a DJ set, which will take in hip hop, jazz and rare groove. 62, Thu 22 Jun.
Mish Mash One of the few clubs in the city that can guarantee a top class night out each and every month, Mish Mash is continuing apace thanks to the cracking combination of Harris soul, dub and deep house selections, live percussion and lle who add to, rather han detract from the atmosphere. Regulars should watch out this month, however, as regular end-of-the-month slothas shifted to allow for two nights in Jul. The Riverside Club, Sat 1 Jul.
Hi-T Another Sunday evening, and the complete opposite of the Slave event. The new cafe offers a staggering array of inquions, board games and some seriously chilled-out selections from up to ten local 015. This is a booze and fags-free zone though, so it’s not best suited for those in the middle of a bender. Tclia-ovna, Suns.
