Music fit for a Prince's Square
Is it all very serious music? It is a total mix of musical styles, performers and bands
Like who? Everyone from folk musicians to the Hung Drawn Quartet and the George Penman Jazz Band.
Will they all perform in the courtyard? Some will, but selected gigs will also take place in the new Acoustic Room in the Glasshouse extension.
Who will be playing there? Well known performers such as Lorna Brooks, Malcolm Jones & Donald Black from Runrig, The Radio Sweethearts, The McClusky Brothers, Horse (pictured) and Tam White with Brian Kellock.
Is that all that is happening? The centre will also be hosting the launch of BBC Music Live on Thursday 26 May with a guest appearance from none other than Mr Music himself, Jools Holland.

Dating from 1807, the Hunterian is Scotland’s oldest public museum — it lost its artworks in 1980 with the opening of the purpose-built art gallery in the grounds, but it is still home to a collection of the university’s treasures.

Clydebuilt Scottish Maritime Museum

This attraction, situated on the River Clyde, brings to life the story of Glasgow’s development from the tobaCCo lords in the 1700s right tip to the 21st century. You cart take control of a real steam engine or learn to make a fortune as an ocean trader, and kids will enjoy the maritime playpark.
People's Palace 8: Winter Garden Glasgow Green, 5540223. Mon—Thu & Sat 10am—5pm; Fri & Sun 11am—5pm. Glasgow’s best-loved institution has recently undergone a major facelift to celebrate its centenary year. The new displays are set out thematically with subjects including The Patter, Visions Of The City and Crime And Punishment.
St Mungo Museum of Religious Life , And Art

Glasgow Zoopark (‘alderpark. Uddingston, 771 1185. Daily ‘).30am—5pm. £4.00 (£2.70). A popular haunt on school trips, Glasgow Zoopark boasts a varied collection of animals, from lions to guinea pigs, as well as a well-stocked reptile house.
The Tall Ship At Glasgow Harbour 100 Stobcross Road, 339 0631. Daily 10am—5pm. £3.50 (£2.95; accompanied children free). Find out about Glasgow’s maritime heritage on-board the S.V. Glertlce, the only Clyde-built sailing ship still afloat in the UK. Visitors can explore the boat or talk to the crew, and there’s a range of children’s activities. Orr-shore, there is a restaurant as well as a permanent exhibition space.
Holmwood House (ii—()3 Netherlee Road, (‘atlieart, ()37 212‘). Daily 1.30—5.30pm. £3.20 (£2.20). Designed by the famed 19th century architect, Alexander “Greck‘ Thomson, this house is an excellent example of his classical style. lnvestigation is also underway to recover the original interior decoration, again based on classical themes.

What's on show? After four long hard years of work, graduating students from Edinburgh College of Art will be putting the fruits of their labours on the catwalk. Numerous students Will be showcasing work from the Textiles, Performance Costume and Fashion courses
Is there a particular style or theme? Not at all. The designers have taken their inspiration from subjects as varied as modern architecture to antique fabrics and
the texture of withering roses.
If I like the look of the clothes can I purchase them? The designers have to hold onto their work for the degree shows, but you can certainly register an interest with a view to getting yourself a cutting-edge outfit which no one else
will be wearing.
