Artists At Harleys Until Sat 3 Jun. In the late 19505, commercial printers in Edinburgh, Harley Brothers, encouraged young artists to produce and edition colour lithographs. In this exhibition, the work of Michael Ayrton, Elizabeth Blackadder, Robin Philipson and John Piper goes on display.

Metacity/Data Town Until Sun 23 Apr. Where is the contemporary city going? Conceived by Winny Maas, researched and produced by MVRDV, one of Holland’s cutting-edge architectural practices, this exhibition attempts to understand this notion. The centrepiece of the show is a small room constructed in gallery 5, in which the four walls pulsate with changing images and information, creating a virtual reality projection of an imaginary city for 241 million inhabitants.
Kidsize: The Material World Of Childhood Until Sun 4 Jun. £2.50 (£2); free for children under 16. This exhibition organised by the Vitra Design Museum looks at the changing relationships between children and adults, expressed through children’s everyday material environments in societies. An interactive education programme accompanies the show with workshops, specially constructed 3D interactive experience and activities for children.
Movement - Peter Opsvik Furniture Until Fri 14 Apr. An exhibition of work by one of Norway’s leading designers Peter Opsvik featuring the Garden chair and the Tripp-Trapp chair which was designed to meet the needs of children. The School Model Until Wed 12 Apr. Artist Bruce McLean, writer Mel Gooding and architect William McLean worked with teachers and students in North Ayrshire to create a new framework for a school environment.
