Neal Beggs Glasgow-based artist Neal Beggs creates a new installation for the entrance corridor space at the venue, consisting of two large blocks of text on the corridor walls. One wall lists the 284 Seottish Munros (mountains over 3000ft) while opposite is a list of the 304 multi- storey tower blocks built in Glasgow between the 19505 and the 1970s. Anti-Prophet Until Sat 29 Jan. Screening on Tue, Wed 8; Sun, 2pm & 4pm; Thu—Sat, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm. This documentary film by Sarah Tripp is the result of a series of interviews she made with five people about their beliefs and their lives, whereby each contributor names the next person to be interviewed.

HUNTERIAN ART GALLERY

Home to the University‘s collection of art and sculpture and an on- going programme of temporary exhibitions, the Hunterian also features a re-creation of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Glasgow house which contains original furnishings. Mackintosh Sketches Until Sat 12 Feb. Architectural sketches, drawings, watercolours and sketchbooks by architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The works were created during his travels in Italy, England, Scotland and Portugal.

Converted from Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s first major public building and former offices of The Herald, this new venue is the home of Scotland's centre for Architecture, Design and the City. Providing two main exhibition galleries and smaller display areas, there are facilities for conferences, education and IT suites. a shop and a cafe. On permanent display, the Mackintosh Interpretation Centre documents the life and work of Glasgow‘s most famous architect- designer.
ldentity Crisis: The 905 Defined Until Sun 13 Feb. David Redhead, former editor of Design magazine, curates Glasgow 1999’s last major exhibition which looks at designed objects and images which are synonymous with the 19905. Tamagotchis, the Dyson vacuum cleaner or virtual girl Lara Croft — how will you remember the decade? Building Design Partnership Fri 21 Jan—Fri 3 Mar. This exhibition looks at the diversity of materials used in modern building which ranges from stone and brick to alutninium and titanium. A display of the recent work of Building Design Partnership’s Glasgow Office illustrates this diversity.
