I Belong 2 Until Sat 27 Nov. Following on from the exhibition held at the gallery last year, which involved photography and writing workshops in response to an exhibition of drawings and photographs by Sarajevo orphans, Glasgow school pupils worked with Street Level and playwright Janet Paisley to produce ‘Fortune Tellers’, based on the children’s game of folding paper into the shape of a pyramid which through the movement of fingers reveals different images and text.

This interactive exhibition specially devised for children looks at the design process through a range of specially commissioned installations.

Glasgow At Our Feet Until Sun 9 Jan. Glasgow school pupils drew sites of specific architectural interest which in turn were used to create the design of a huge marmoleum floor in the gallery. Dunya - Glimpses Of Muslim Life Until late 1999. A new display exploring aspects of Muslim life with objects drawn from Glasgow Museums’ Muslim Art collections.

Five Thousand Days At Sea Until Sun 30 Apr. Exhibition on board the only Clydcbank sailing ship still afloat in the UK documenting her adventures on the high seas between 1897 and 1919. GalGael Until Sun 31 Oct. (Pumphouse Side Gallery). The Galgael Trust, set up by unemployed people, present a 12ft model of a Scottish longship, constructed entirely of recycled materials.

Story In The Stones Until Sun 30 Apr. (Pumphouse Main Gallery). An exhibition looking at the impact of the industrial ages on Glasgow harbour.

Situated opposite the National Gallery of Modern Art, the new Dean Gallery is entirely devoted to art of the 20th century. A former 19th century orphanage, it houses a large collection of work by Eduardo Paolozzi, as well as outstanding works drawn from the National Galleries’ Dada and Surrealist collections by Giacometti, Picabia, Max Ernst and others. The upper galleries are given over to temporary exhibitions.
