CCA AT MCLELLAN GALLERIES

Neal Beggs Glasgow-based artist Neal Beggs creates a new installation for the entrance corridor space at the venue, consisting of two large blocks of text on the corridor walls. One wall lists the 284 Scottish munros (mountains over 3000ft) and on the opposite wall, is a list of the 304 multi-storey tower blocks built in Glasgow between the 19505 and the 19705.

The Land's Edge Also Until Sat 13 Nov. Julie Brook’s residency on the uninhabited island of Mingulay in the Outer Hebrides, is the inspiration for this multifaceted exhibition. The show comprises paintings, photographs of sculptures, drawings created from sand, ash, earth and seafoam and a short film shot and produced by the artist.

Fragments Of Time Until Sat 13 Nov. The Dead Sea Scrolls and travels to Rome are the inspiration for this exhibition in which fragments of discarded scrap metal are transformed into a series of etchings by Eveleen Wright.

Urban Myth Until Sat 13 Nov. Lens- based work by Print Studio director, John MacKechnie in his first solo show for several years. A cinematic prospect of the city of Glasgow is one of the large-scale screenprints on display.

The Enigma Of The Door Until Sat 13 Nov. Joyce Leitch explores the symbolism of doorways in a new body of work.
