SUMMER IN THE SQUARE Sat 27 Jun—Sun 12 Jul. Geor e S uare. Two weeks of top holiday action to occupy the kids during the SC 001 olidays. The Lord Provost's Procession opens proceedings as this colourful spectacle of community and commercial floats sets off from Blythswood Square, arriving at George Square at 12.30pm. And if this wasn't enough, you can enjoy street entertainment, jugglers, clowns and stiltwalkers along the way. Later in the week, there's Circus In The Square on Thu 2 Jul (noon-3pm) With the Moscow State Circus, as well as a skatin rink, bubble-making, kite making and a climbing wall. On Thu 9 Jul 11am- pm, Kids In The Square has in-line skating demonstrations, musical entertainment from Crooked Jack and The Happy Gang (Sat 11 Jul only noon—4pm).

Original watercolours by Cicely Mary Barker from her famous Flair-er Fairies books. which were first published 75 years ago.
