Then the tone changes into an sfx-heavy vampire western as the clientele spring fangs. Repetition abounds in a messy. tedious affair that's neither scary nor funny. General release. With its sharp dialogue. quirky characters and offbeat humour. this is probably the best adaptation yet of an Elmore Leonard novel. I Girl 6 (l8) (Spike Lee. US. I996) Theresa Randle. Isaiah Washington. Spike Lee. I07 mins. A struggling actor takes a job as a sex line operator and begins a joumey of self-discovery. Lee‘s best depiction of a female character since his debut. She ’5 Gotta Have It. is more down to a star-making performance by RandIe than his attempt to empower the modem woman. The storytelling is sloppy and the film is boring for sizable periods. Edinburgh: Cameo.

Mafia epic that follows the collapse of the Corleone empire under the old Don (Brando) and the struggle for power this causes between rival families and his own sons. Al Pacino is magnificent as the good son who has to turn bad in order to regain family honour. Hugely enjoyable. violent movie is a landmark in American filmmaking. Edinburgh: Filmhouse. twist to bring him up to the 90s. It's definitely
worth it. because this is a solid two~and-a-bit hours of fun. filled with all the old puns and gadgets. but with a bit of character development.
