I Love Bug at The Garage. 10.30pm-3am. £3 (£2). Commercial dance with a retro edge with man about town DJ Graeme.
I Mean Streets at The 13th Note (basement). 8pm-midnight. Free. The club that ably charts the history of rock and roll from Elvis to Portishead.
I Parkllfe at The Arena. llpm—3am. £3.50 (£2.50). The idea of the indie night repaired. repackaged and redesigned with a surprisingly mixed crowd packing the place out. All dn'nks £1.20 before 12.30am.

‘ that turntable divas Kemistry and ' Storm should have been the recipients
of a full-page spread in last month’s Select. Like Goldie, 4 Hero, and Bukem they
1 go back along, long way - to the mid- ' 80s in fact, when the pair met at
' fashion college in Kettering. Moving
1 to London a few years on they began
. raving, first at acid house clubs, later at Fabio and Grooverider’s legendary
Rage where Detroit techno, UK
, breakbeat and experimental noise
were welded on the turntables into brave new stratospheres of sound.
Inspired, they invested in a pair of
decks and taught themselves to mix. Five months later Kemistry and Storm had their own radio show on pirate station Touchdown and soon, gigs too, the first in 1991 at Mindblow in Wolverhampton. The rest, as they say, is history.
These days you can find them at

enchanting mix where celestial melodies, high-velocity breaks and earth-quaking basslines endlessly
entwine. “We’re dedicated to the
decks,’ says l(eml, from her North London home, enthusing about the tunes they’re currently dropping.
