recently purchased Alexander Stoddart‘s larger-than-life bust of Henry Moore. Medardo flosso: Impressionist Sculptor Until 26 Jun. £2 (£1). This is the first major exhibition of this Italian sculptor's work to be held in Britain and these 48 works in wax. plaster and bronze show why he is regarded as one of the precursors of the modern movement. Capturing a subtle sense of movement or a fleeting impression. his studies ripple with light and shadow and his subjects almost seem to dissolve into their surrounding space.
