I Blue Oyster Club 11pm—4am. £2. Ever-popular gay club with an em , eclectic playlist . . . Kylie, Jason and perhaps a bit of Dannii too. Love it!

I Buster Browns 10.30pm—3.30am. £1 .50 before 11.30pm/£3 after. Mainstream chart sounds mixed with soul, oldies and rave. Available Mon—Thurs for private parties.

I The ital Club at Liberty‘s. 10.30pm—4am. £2.50. 25 Sept only. Scotland‘s original reggae club returns after its summer sabbatical with the ﬁrst of its regular monthly nights.

I Love Wash at the Citrus Club. 10.30pm—5am. £5. Good night featuring DJ Alon from London’s Carwash with a hot mix of disco, funk and groove.

I Madison's Bock Night 10pm-4am. £2. Pretty self-explanatory, this one.

I Marley's Reggae Klub at Network 3. 10.30pm—4am. £2.50. The city’s longest-running reggae night (fourteen years, better believe it), with roots, ragga, lovers, heavyweight dub and dancehall. I MASH at Queen Margaret Student Union. 2 Oct only. House, garage and disco from this monthly club.

I Pure at The Venue. 11pm—5am. Upfront, hard-edged underground dance music. Wet walls and a lack of oxygen the in-house speciality.

I Release at the Rave Cave. 11pm—4am. Underground house from Cutmaster B. I Specehopper at The Vaults. llpm—4am. £4. 705 retro. DJs Jeremy and Angus play tracks ranging from Abba to Chic, Sweet to The Clash.

Solid dance action with regular PAs and a large, if not too tall, crowd. if this doesn’t get your feet on the floor and your annsin the air, then nothing will.

I Katch at Shady Lady‘s. 10.30pm—4am. £2. A veritable cornucopia of indie music from the 805 and 905.

I Mambo Club at Cavendish. llpm—4am. £4/£3. Around the world stylee, with Sir Ossie on the wheels of steel.

I Red Hot Pepper Club 10pm—4am. £4.

I Bock Orgasm at The Mission. 10.30pm—4am. £2. Weekly rock night advertised by objectionably sexist flyers. Happy hour 10.30pm-12.30am.

I Soma at The Vaults. 11pm—4am. £4. 3 Oct only. Fortnightly hardcore dance club, getting mellower by the minute (or so they tell me). Good night.

I Tattoo at the Citrus Club. llpm-4am. Members £5/£4 before midnight, non—members £6. 5 Sept only. Highly recommended dance club. (Full of young lads with no t-shirts on, girls!)

I Tlmewarp at The Mission. 1 1pm—4am. £2/free before lam. A new night featuring a truly eclectic music policy, ie absolutely anything at all, so long as it comes from the 605, 705 or 805. Doesn't cut the options down much, does it?

I Wave at the Venue. llpm—Sam. Members and guests only. Always a good night guaranteed. Often just as busy as Friday‘s Pure but with a less upfront (ie not so hardcore) music policy. Look out for some big-name guests in the near future.

I Wheels at The Mission. 1 lpm—3am. £1.50 before midnight/£2. 50 after. The hairy and leather-clad come out in force for this rock night, I'm told.

I Lassoo at The Pelican Bistro. 9pm-2am. Silly country and western.

I Red Hot Pepper Club lOpm—3am. £4.

I Roxy’s Tea Dance at Millies. 1 lam—9pm. £3. Ten hours of glamorous excess from the indescribable Roxy. The only place to be after Sunday brunch (apart from bed). I The Sunday Club at The Solution 11pm—4am. £2 with ticket. Wonderful, wonderful gay night featuring male go-go dancers and some of the worst PAs we've ever seen. You have to go.

Mondays
