One halfofa collaborative celebration to mark the centenary of the birth of Otto Dix— Germany‘s best known 20th century realist painter. declared a ‘degenerate‘ under the Nazi regime. While the Tate Gallery in London shows his paintings. the SNGMA concentrates on Dix as draughtsman. with watcrcolours. drawings. gouaches and prints from all phases of his career. Both exhibitions are organised by Keith Hartley. Assistant Keeper at the SNGMA.
