Turner caused a sensation when he joined Humph's rather traditional outfit on saxophone in the early 1950s. causingone irate fan to turn tip at a gig sportinga banner which read ‘(io 1 lome. Dirty Bopper'. 'l'urner gleefully called a subsequent album of his The Dirty Hopper. Always worth hearing. Turner will play with the resident section. the Ken Ramage 'l'rio.
