Sue Jane Taylor: Oil Worker— Scotland Until 8 Sept. In 1984 Taylor was one of 12artists commissioned by Stirling Shipping (‘ompany to spend three weeks depicting their involvement in the North Sea oil industry. This residency marked the beginningofthe ()il Worker project.

Daniel Reeves: The Well ol Patience Until 2 Sept. Wed—Sun noon—8pm. Reeves won an Emmy for ‘Smothering Dreams'.based on his experiences in the Vietnam war. This latest project is a large. circular screen mounted on a carousel. which overwhelms the viewer with images gathered by Reeves in Asia. Africa. America. Europe and Seotland. The three 91 min tapes explore the transiencc of both natural and man-made worlds. Pierre Lavalle: Paintings 1947-75 Until 31 Aug. Mon—Sat lllam—Spm. Writer Alasdair Gray finds the literary term ‘Magic Realist‘ to be the most apt in describing Lavalle’s colour :41. fantastic paintings.
