Edinburgh every August for the past eight years and now have plans to turn the city into a year-round base. Lee Blessings play. a witty and elegant study oftlirce generations of women. is performed by three Scottish actresses and directed by Rob Mulholland whose Festival productions have won Fringe Firsts for three consecutive years. A three-course meal is followed by a change of scenery to a cabaret-style theatre.

The Correction and Quartet Wed 2 May. 7.45pm. £2.50 (£1 .50). A performed reading and a full performance oftwo plays by Heincr Muller both directed by Michael Batz. The first is one ofMuller's earliest plays and is set on a building site. The second is a revival of the first British production and is an explicit study of sexual humiliation and domination.

The Lightning l’lebiscite, which commemorates the amalgamation of Edinburgh and Leith 70 years ago. Anyone can get involved in any aspect of the production which will be mounted at the end ofMay.
Desire Under The Elms Wed 2—Sat S May. 8pm. £3.50 (£2.50). Havingjust performed a recent play from the other side of the Atlantic to much acclaim. American Connexion now turns to Eugene O‘Neill's established stateside classic. It is a passionate tale ofNew [England domestic life where a forbidden love emerges in a patriarchal home. Scotland on Sunday theatre critic Gregg Ward directs the play which goes on tour until June.
The Dorm Wed 25—Sat 28 Apr. 8pm. £3.50 (£2.50). So reputable has the Mandela Theatre Company become that it now recruits its performers from the hallowed ranks of contributors to The List. Well one of them anyway. The play is a rigorous look at life in a juvenile detention centre and is based on the real life experiencesof playwright Lance Flynn. See Preview.
