Spring Fling. the annual spring iamboree organised by Edinburgh District Council and involving local groups throughout the city as well as visting pertormances. starts this lortnight. There are
concerts. plays. workshops.
readings. sports and tun events tor adults and children alike. The lestival runs lrom 27 May- 11 June. and events are listed on a day-by-day basis below. Mrs Worthington beware. As part at Spring Fling, Theatre Workshop are hosting a week ol events tor all daughters who want to go on stage — or indeed are interested in any aspect ol theatre. Women’s Theatre Week runs trom 7—12 June. all day. every day and is open to women at all ages and experience. There are talks and discussions, workshops and perlormances. Subjects covered
include: playwrighiing,
stage-management. directing, acting. circus skills, artistic direction and administration, publicity. set-making and the history ol women in theatre.
