WORLD THEATRE SEASON
There has been rather a quantity oiworld theatre over in the east just recently. An inspired decision then on the part oiMichael Boyd to encourage a little of it over tothe west. The Tmn's World Theatre Season brings togetherdrama from Russia, India. Scotland and New York. The Shaliko Company and La Mama from New York explore the violence inherent in the Punch and Judy show in a poweriul andlunny production (see photo and review in lestival section). Moscow Studio Theatre oithe South West offer a chance to experience Fringe drama Russian style with their somewhat alternative reading of Hamlet; Communicado Theatre Company present an excellent production of Liz Lochhead’s delightfully down-to-earth Mary Queen oi Scots Got Her Head Chopped on while another strong Scottish company.
