'DLD AND NEW FRIENDS: Along with the Skiffle Bunch steelband, this year’s Commonwealth Music Show brings London’s papular Grand Union Orchestra back to Edinburgh and introduces Scottish audiences to new performers such as the irrepressible Langas & Managniyars from Rajasthan and the visually stunning masked theatre group Purulia Chhau
through The Usher Hall in Lothian Street, as are places in the tree workshops. Tickets for Dance Round The World are also available from the St Bride’s Centre, Orwell Terrace, Haymarket, 031 346 1405. Tickets for Friday's Anti-Apartheid Concert and Sunday's concert by Grand Union in Princes Street Gardens are not bookable in advance and will go on sale one hour before the performances. Ticket concessions are open to OAPs, children under16, students and U840 holders.
