One past violinist not playing in the orchestra is Nigel Hutchison (see photo), who is now establishing a promising career as a solo pianist and should be worth listening out ior. Also taking part in their charity concert at the Queen’s Hall on Sunday 30 are Caledonia Brass and the Edinburgh Gilbert and Sullivan Society (see listings). (Carol Main)
