The Monitlands Open is a lull tournament ol singles, doubles, mixed and junior events. Being a well organised annual event it attracts many English players and last yearthe ladles title was taken by Alison Gordon with Scotland’s top seed Carole Dalrymple (pictured) having to be satisfied with an unaccustomed second place. Carole has been playing lor her country since 1975 and has over 100 caps but will be lacing serious opposition at Monklands. In terms at TT events, the prize money is above average and this is certainly a lurlher incentive lor top ranking Brits to be involved. Scotland’s David Hannah will be hard-pushed to
