The Glasgow Buddhist Centre are celebrating Sangha Day on Sunday 10 November (see Listings). The Centre has been open since January 1983, and la run by the Friends oi the Western Buddhist Order. a movement set up In 1967 by Sangharakshita, an Englishman who had spent twenty years In India studying Buddhism. The r.w.e.o. do not adhere to any one Buddhist tradition. They organise meditation Instruction courses, retreats and karate classes in Glasgow, and In other parts at the country.
