CATE LE BON Some things you may not know about the excellent and charismatic CLB, who sounds a bit like a Welsh Nico: she was Gruff Rhys’ musical protégé; she has sung vocals for Neon Neon, as well as the Manic Street Preachers.; she’s written several songs inspired by the Isle of Eigg, and her last album, Mug Museum, was inspired by her grandmother’s death. The Welsh singer now lives in LA, but she’s returning to Scotland as part of a UK tour which she hopes will bring her from her cult, (velvet) underground status into something, finally, a bit better known. ■ Electric Circus, Edinburgh, Tue 16 Sep.
