THE CELTS IN SEVILLE Tony Roper is best known as the author of The Steamie and Jamesie in Rab C Nesbitt, but he is also a lifelong Celtic fan. The story of his team’s adventure in reaching the 2003 UEFA Cup Final – which led to the fans being called ‘the best in the world’ by UEFA – is appropriately revived in the year of the Commonwealth Games, when sport and art are connecting across Glasgow. A lively, playful and funny take on the adventures of Scottish fans in the sun, it celebrates the friendlier face of football. ■ Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, until Sat 12 Apr.
