GLASGOW GIRLS
As part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme to celebrate the Commonwealth Games, the return of Glasgow Girls is a timely reminder that the city has a history of welcoming and supporting immigrants. Based on a true story, this musical tells the tale of a group of young women who weren’t willing to let the government repatriate their friends without a struggle. Driven by Cora Bisset’s conception and direction, with words by David Greig and music from a host of Scottish talent, Glasgow Girls is a feel-good musical that doesn’t pull its punches.
