PRIVATE LIVES When Noel Coward’s comedy of manners premiered at the King’s Theatre, Edinburgh, in August 1930, Coward (who took the role of Elyot for himself) fitted himself out with a stellar supporting cast featuring Adrianne Allen, Gertrude Lawrence and Laurence Olivier. While Martin Duncan’s new production can’t boast quite so starry an ensemble, Coward’s tale of two honeymooning couples with tangled pasts still sparkles with wit and charm.
